5 x 8 in; 226 pages
This is Arloa Jane Walter's first book of fiction, now published and released by Carneros Press.
"Abby... Again" is a collection of short stories following the adventures of Abby Harris, a retired social worker with a love of helping others and stopping those who work to scam the elderly and take their money. Abby's adventures take her as far away as Ireland and the Napa Valley and as close as her own kitchen.
Arloa Jane Walter was born in Wisconsin, raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and then lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of her adult life. She earned a bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, California (now called Notre Dame de Namur University) and a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a wife, mother of three sons and a grandmother of seven. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has worked with the older population in all settings. Her previous book, "Voices of Older Women: What They Want To Say… Why You're Not Listening," chronicled the stories of 100 older women who were invisible to society.
